Colonoscopy:
went as well as could be expected
wasn't as bad as i thought
showed only some minor treatable problems
Whoo hooo
:)
Children are not a burden to escape or endure; they are a blessing that drives us to Christ because we are incapable of parenting well without Him. - Kim Brenneman

Today we went to the WIC office and signed up for WIC. I've been putting it off until now. Yesterday was the last straw with Matt getting a 3 percent pay decrease (company wide). I'm thankful that he still has his job and wasn't laid off, but it's going to be even tighter now. So being on WIC and getting the extra milk, cheese, cereal and eggs are going to be great. Once i can get to the doctors office and get a special note for Elijah, then we will also get help with formula. The only downside is that they don't have options for alternatives for allergen friendly food. But on the upside the provide 40 dollars to get food at the local farmers market! So that should be good!
Going to the office with the kids and getting all of the height, weight, and iron levels was a nightmare! Joshua screamed, kicked, and flipped out in every way imaginable. I felt so terrible for him... he doesn't understand why we are there or what we are doing. It's a new environment and they are poking him and taking him blood. Needless to say i am glad that is over with.
We were planning on doing a semi-kitchen remodel... but now that we got the pay cut and also refinancing the house so we can pay it off sooner... we're going to put that off. Also we are having some major water issues again (or lack thereof) so who knows how much well stuff is going to cost. I'm okay with it because i already have my stainless steal sink and Matt's going to put that in for me anyway... we just aren't going to build cabinets.
Well that's it for now on this end. I just had a smidgen of time while all the children were resting!

So here are some pictures! :) we'll get better pictures later... they are just so little they need to stay warm and snugly with their mommy!

randoms because it's late but i want to post...
I never thought i would have to become skilled in the ways of ironing... but now that Matt has a desk job it has recently come into play.
MRI went as well as could be expected. Not sure when i will be hearing back about the results... we'll see. Other doctors appointments will be in 1 week and a half to see what's going on elsewhere. Maybe it is all connected somehow? hmm... it'd be interesting to see. For now I'm on some random medicine that makes my appetite very minimal (which really I'm not complaining about because I'm still not to my "goal" weight).
Tomorrow i start using the PECS system with my boys. I'm hoping for good results and better communication.. mainly with Daniel. Joshua is at a place where he can now verbalize his needs! WHOOO HOOOOO Thank you Jesus! I'll let you know how that goes.
We (more specifically me and the boys) haven't been to church in a while. We've been having some issues with Daniel not liking it a SCREAMING the whole time. And also other issues with Joshua's Sunday school teacher. SO I've just opted out of going for now... it's just a season and i do get a lot of fellowship with other christian friends. At least Matt is able to go to church during this time.
I really need to get more organized. Having 3 boys is definitely busy and sometimes chaotic. I find that if i lay out the plans for my day better then i am better organized for when life turns chaotic. Does that make sense?
Oh we went exploring on Saturday. It was so much fun... i wish we could have gone farther but with kids they only like to spend a certain amount of time in the car and then they are shot...

what's going on here?
I've been having some health issues lately. I'll spare you the details, but Basically went to the doctor yesterday and she ordered some tests... i either have some bleeding stomach ulcers or something worse. And something worse means that i get to have a colonoscopy (sp?)... So that is something fun to look forward to (insert sarcasm here).
On top of that I've been having problems with numb toes... so the doctor is thinking that i have some lower back nerve issues so i get to have an MRI.
Fun times coming up ahead. I'm just waiting on the doctors office to call me about the blood work and what not.
There you have it... that's whats going on here! Other then that things are great. We've had nice weather for a couple of days (70+ degrees) and it looks like we have a couple more coming up!

hmmm
This weekend is suppose to be nice. So i figure it's about time to plant the garden. Matt is almost done with moving all the dirt and tomorrow he will be putting up the chicken wire and on Sunday i am hoping to plant.
Joshua is almost done with his "spring" break from school. I have loved having him home. He only has 8 more weeks of school and then he is off for most of the summer. It's amazing how much progress he has made socially and emotionally. Not to mention his now huge vocabulary! He now plays with his peers and he LOVES to hang out with Elijah. He will hug him and kiss him and play peek-a-boo with him. Such a great thing to have his personality back and just a testament to God's healing touch on his life.
Speaking of Joshua that brings me to another point. April is Autism awareness month and i am now going to make you aware! Check out http://www.autismspeaks.org/ for more information on autism and what it is and who it affects. And if you have any questions you can always ask me! :)
no baby kittens yet but we are expecting them soon. Kitty is getting bigger with the day and seems like she will pop at any time. When we go to feed her during the day we will often find a snack from the night before that she caught and was keeping for later in her bed/box (a.k.a. mouse or mole). Fun stuff...
hmm well let me find some pictures to post up for you and then i need to get back to picking up the house! :)
